THE EVALUATORS FROM BUCKS COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE WERE IN TOWN LAST NIGHT AND TODAY TO COMPLETE THE TRENCH 1 & 2 PROBOARD TESTING. Friday NIGHT WAS THE WRITTEN TEST. A 50 QUESTION TEST WAS USED TO EVALUATE THE CANDIDATE KNOWLEDGE ON TRENCH RESCUE.

CREWS WORKED ON THE PAVILION FOR MAINT. NIGHT DRILL TONIGHT. WITH THE SHEETING UP AND ROOFING PAPER ON FROM WORK COMPLETED OVER THE WEEKEND, THE TASK FOR THE NIGHT WAS TO GET THE ROOF SHINGLED. CREWS WORKED FOR 4 HOURS TO GET THE ROOF COMPLETELY SHINGLED AND THE WEST PEAK WAS WAS COVERED WITH VIN...
UTILITY 438 TRAVELED TO CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON TO SUPPORT THEIR DEPARTMENT BY ATTENDING THEIR ANNUAL PARADE. TRAVELING IN THE RAIN THEN WAITING OUT THE THUNDERSTORM JUST BEFORE THE SCHEDULED START TIME WITH A HEAVY DELUGE OF RAIN WITH HAIL, U-438 WAS IN NEAR THE END OF THE PARADE.

SEVERAL MEMBERS WORKED ON THE PICNIC PAVILION BEHIND STATION 42 YESTERDAY AFTER COMPLETION OF THE ROPES 1 PRO BOARD TESTING. THE ANGLE BRACES WERE ATTACHED BETWEEN THE POSTS AND THE MAIN BEAMS TO HELP PROVIDE MORE STABILITY.
6 MEMBERS FROM PERRY HI-WAY AND A TOTAL OF 15 EMERGENCY PERSONNEL TESTED TO LEVEL 1 PRO-BOARDS FOR ROPE RESCUE TODAY. THE WRITTEN TEST WAS COMPLETED FRIDAY NIGHT AND SKILLS TESTING WAS COMPLETED SATURDAY MORNING.

MEMBERS TOOK S-437 AND L-429 TO THE LAWRENCE PARK PARADE TO CELEBRATE INDEPENDANCE DAY. A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL WHO ATTENDED THE PARADE. SQUAD 437 CAME HOME WITH AN AWARD FOR THE BEST EQUIPPED AMBULANCE IN THE PARADE.
A CREW OF 4 ATTENDED THE LAKE CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT ANNUAL PARADE. THIS WAS THE 90TH YEAR FOR THE PARADE AND CARNIVAL. L-429 WAS PARADE PREPARED IN THE AM AND THEN DROVE OUT TO THE PARADER FOR 330PM LINE UP.
