CONGRATULATIONS TO MEMBER DAN SERAFIN ON COMPLETING HIS EMT CLASSES AND SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING HIS WRITTEN AND PRACTICAL SKILLS FOR HIS EMT CERTIFICATION. HE JOINS HIS SISTER AND COUSIN WHO ALSO COMPLETED THEIR EMT CLASSES A FEW MONTHS EARLIER.
THE TRAINING DAY WAS VERY PRODUCTIVE TODAY. 3 NEW APPLICANTS HAVE COMPLETED THEIR PHYSICAL AGILITY TESTING AND ALSO TRAINING ON PAPERWORK. DRIVERS TRAINING WAS COMPLETED FOR SEVERAL MEMBERS BOTH PAID STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS.

STUDENTS FINISHING THE BUCKS BASIC CLASS PROCEEDED TO THEIR STRUCTURAL BURN CLASS THIS PAST WEEKEND. THE NEW 40' BURN BOX WITH BURN PAN CONSTRUCTED WITH ASSISTANCE FROM MEMBERS FROM THE KEARSARGE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
THE BOARD APPROVED PAY INCREASE OF 3% FOR THE FULL TIME PAID STAFF. THE BOARD ALSO APPROVED RAISING THE PART TIME PAY RATE BY $.50 AN HOUR. THE NEW RATES WILL START WITH THE PAY PERIOD BEGINING MAY 27, 2018.

NEW VIDEO LARYNGOSCOPES WERE ORDERED TODAY. CLEAR VUE BRAND SCOPES WERE ORDERED AFTER EVALUATION OF 6 DIFFERENT BRANDS. THE MEDICS FELT THE CLEAR VUE UNITS WERE THE BEST UNIT OUT THERE TODAY AND THE PRICE WAS COMPATABLE WITH THE GRANT FUNDS WE HAVE FOR THIS PROJECT.
